12th Grade Parent Evening, Wednesday, November 4 | 6:00 to 7:30 | Via Zoom

Wednesday, November 4 | 6:00 to 7:30 | Via Zoom

The 12th Grade Parent Evening will be held on Wednesday, November 4, from 6:00 to 7:30 via Zoom. All 12th grade families are asked to attend. The link will also be available on the school calendar.

The evening will preview the senior Adventure Learning trip, the second of two signature trips in a Credo student’s four years. The trip gives seniors the chance to celebrate together as a class and, grounded in a connection with nature, to honor the close of their high school journey and the beginning of young adulthood.

Planning is already underway, and the trip depends on significant family support. This evening is where families will learn what the trip means for their senior and how they can help make it happen.

Annual Open House, November 7th, 1:00 to 4:00

Our Annual Open House for prospective families is coming up on November 7th. Please help spread the word to families who may be interested! The registration is on our website.

Credo's Fall Play: Our Town by Thornton Wilder

Purchase tickets here

About the play: Time moves quietly through the thresholds of our lives. Days become years, childhood becomes memory, and little moments become the ones we wish we could hold onto forever. Every window gives us a glimpse into someone’s life and the world around them. Change can be unexpected and challenging, but it happens to everyone. So, who better to tell a story about changing times than a town full of teenagers?

Set in Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, Our Town follows Emily Webb, George Gibbs, and their neighbors as they grow up, fall in love, and discover what it means to be alive.

Through the windows of everyday life, Thornton Wilder reminds us to appreciate the people and moments right in front of us. Maybe the extraordinary has been there all along, right outside our window, in our town.

Lost & Found Clean Out

It's That Time Again

The Lost & Found closet is once again overflowing with a huge amount of water bottles, lunchboxes. hoodies, jackets and various other items. Just before Fall break, on Friday, November 20, all items not claimed will be donated. Consider labeling EVERYTHING with your students' name (or have them do it!), especially outerwear, lunch containers and water bottles. It's is truly staggering how many items are left behind each day, and never reclaimed!

Credo student success at the 46th Annual Hal Andersen Warm-Up AMC & Leap Frog Math Contest @ SRJC

Congratulations to Credo sophomore students Emily Bottini and Lila Dusterhoff who
participated on October 29 th , 2026, at the Santa Rosa Junior College Leap Frog Math
Contest and finished 2nd place!

The Leap Frog is an annual SRJC event open to 9th and 10th grade high school students
in Sonoma County. It is a team competition where two players have their separate test
scores combined into a single team score. Each member of the team is given a different
test. They then have 25 minutes to work on their tests. After a short break, they
exchange papers and work for another 15 minutes on their teammates’ paper. Lastly,
there is a final exchange of papers for 5 more minutes. Talking is not allowed but note-
passing is encouraged! The test consists primarily of word problems from elementary
algebra and a few geometry problems.

Congratulations also to Credo junior Ewan McKenna! Ewan had participated in last
year’s Leap Frog event and competed this year in the Warm-Up AMC competition – an
event for 12 th graders! What a huge accomplishment for a junior!

A big thank you to Emily, Ewan, and Lila, for representing Credo High School! Let’s
have more Credo students participate and win prizes at next year’s math competition!
It’s an amazing opportunity for Credo students to showcase their talents.

Explanation of Rules

I hope the last explanation about rules was helpful. The next school rule that you wanted to know more about was why Seniors are expected to not bring back food or drinks for other students once they leave campus for lunch.

Time is a factor. Lunch is a quick 30 minute break. The time it takes to leave campus, order, get food and return makes it quite challenging to expect that those on campus are able to then eat the food prior to the start of 5th/6th period.

Equity is also a factor. Over the past couple of years, we have witnessed peer dynamics that cause more harm than good when seniors were permitted to bring outside food for others. Underclassmen trying to develop friendships or figure out how they fit in at Credo were offering to pay for food/drinks for other students if they could find someone to deliver the food. The bartering and favor gaining caused conflict in the past and you can imagine caused difficulties for families.

Thank you and I look forward to our next installment.
