Sports

See the attached below the Credo 2017 Athletic Packet to enroll in any Credo League Sports Program.

Credo's mascot is the mythical Gryphon, a legendary creature with the body, tail and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle's talons as its front feet. Because the lion was traditionally seen as king of the beasts and the eagle as king of the birds, the gryphon was thought to be the king of all creatures. Credo has league sports, club sports and intramurals. As a new school, we will continue to add additional sports as our population size grows to make more options affordable.

League Sports

In the 2016/2017 school year, the Gryphon Athletic Program grew to 72 athletes (33 girls, 39 boys). The total enrollment at Credo High School is 244 students (141 girls, 103 boys). We offer girls' volleyball, soccer and basketball teams as well as boys' soccer, basketball and baseball teams in our our league sports.

In the 2017/2018 school year we will be League members of the Coastal Mountain Conference in the NCL II Division.

Our Athletic Director is Kim Holland.  She can be reached at sports@credohigh.org or 760-484-0707.

Intramurals

All Credo students participate in weekly intramurals on Thursday afternoons. There are twelve teams of twelve mixed-age students per team, and each team has a faculty or staff "mascot." Six different sports are played during the year: soccer, ultimate frisbee, flag football, basketball, volleyball and whiffle ball. For the sixth week of each sport, each team sends its best athletes to an All-Star Game. Non-athletic intramural options include Yearbook, Dance, and Improve Theater.
